Suggested Maintenance: The cartridge is reversible. It can be easily rotated to operate in either direction. Although rotating the cartridge is not required, and many users don't bother, periodically reversing the cartridge backwashes the cartridge as it is filtering, ensuring balanced filtration, and reduces channeling of the filter medium. It should also prolong its life.

Cartridge Life: One Year. (Average Use.) Keep in mind that some shower filters have to work a lot harder than others, and you might want to adjust for your usage.

All Sprite HO Filters take the Sprite HOC replacement filter cartridge. This cartridge should be replaced at least once per year for optimum performance.
